Twelve years of Central Queensland homes, extensions and commercial projects, and a website from 2016 that shows almost none of it. This is the plan to fix that: a quieter, more confident brand, and a site built the way your reference list is built, around the work.
ScrollStefan, thank you for the call and for a brief that already knows what it wants: five pages, a full-screen feature image, a clean minimal layout, and five reference sites that all point the same way. That makes this easy to scope and, more importantly, easy to get right.
I went through every page of your current site and every one of your references before writing this. The brief is right. What follows is how we would do it properly, from the brand refresh through to launch, plus one thing I noticed that the brief does not mention and that will decide whether the new site works.
Everything here is priced flat, with no hidden second quote. If you want to change the shape of it, that is a conversation, not a problem.
Inge Loock, Creative Director at Studio Loock
Designed to be built.
Every site on your reference list belongs to an architect, and they all sell the same thing: the vision. Your testimonials sell something rarer. Builders say your plans are the easiest they have worked from. Clients say the process was seamless and the price was fair. An architect's site sells the idea. A drafting site sells the drawing. Dezign Elements sits in the one position that credibly sells both: considered design, drawn by people who know exactly how it gets built. That is the idea the whole brand and the whole website hang off.
So the new site looks the way your references look, photographic, minimal and quiet. But it is the quiet of confidence, not the quiet of having nothing to say. Under the surface it keeps every bit of the Rockhampton search presence the current site has earned, which is the part an architect-style site usually throws away.
Right now your homepage introduces you as "drafting services". That is the cheapest word in your category, and it is costing you the jobs you actually want.
Studio Loock is a creative agency built around three connected disciplines: branding, websites and SEO. A business rarely has a problem in just one of them, and yours is a good example. You asked for a website and a refresh, and the real job is a repositioning that happens to need both.
You will deal with me, Inge, on strategy, brand, design and every decision, with one trusted senior developer behind the build. No account managers, no juniors, nobody learning on your project. We are currently mid-build on a new site for Watermark Constructions, a Queensland builder, and we delivered Loyal Crush end to end: brand, website and content system. Same discipline, different category: a clear structure, a considered look, and a handover that leaves you in control of your own site.
The name stays. Dezign Elements has twelve years of recognition in Central Queensland and a QBCC licence attached to it, so this is a refresh, not a rename. What changes is how it looks, how it sounds, and where it lives.
Part one: the brand refresh
Part two: the website
Honest notes, so nothing is a surprise later
Your current Projects page has 21 images and zero words. Your references work because every project has a name, a story and ten good photographs. The new site will be roughly seventy percent photography, and we cannot shoot it for you. We will brief and coordinate a photographer; they invoice you directly. If you already have finished-project photos, send them and we will tell you honestly which ones are usable.
You asked for five. We have added Services, and it is the least glamorous page on the site. It is also where "house extension plans Rockhampton" and "commercial building designer Central Queensland" actually land. Your references can skip it because architects are found by reputation. You are found by search as well, and we are not going to throw that away for the sake of a shorter menu.
No separate Testimonials page. The quotes are better used as proof next to the thing they prove. Builders saying your plans are easy to build from belongs on the Process page, not on page six of the menu.
We will build the site so it ranks as well as it possibly can for the work you want, and we will protect what you already have. We do not guarantee rankings, and we would be careful of anyone who does. Ongoing SEO is a separate, optional thing, priced below.
Short on purpose. The menu stays as quiet as your references; the depth sits inside Projects, where it belongs.
Loyal Crush: brand, website & content system by Studio Loock
Kickoff Monday 2 November, final design signed off Friday 18 December, live Friday 15 January. The brand is settled before a single page is designed, so the site is designed to the brand rather than the other way round, and nothing launches into the one fortnight of the year when nobody is at their desk.
Kickoff call, the 45-minute interview, a full list of your current URLs and what they rank for, and the brand refresh explored. Two directions presented Friday 20 November.
Brand refined and signed off, then the homepage designed on it and presented Friday 4 December. Hard content deadline: Friday 4 December. Project photography, a project list (name, location, type, year, a few lines each), team photos and bios. This is the single thing most likely to move the launch date.
The remaining five pages and the project template designed, every page written. Two revision rounds across weeks 4 to 7, then final design sign-off Friday 18 December, so you go into Christmas knowing exactly what you are getting.
WordPress build, projects loaded, forms, redirects, schema, analytics and Search Console, either side of the break (we close 24 December to 3 January). You see a private staging link, not a surprise.
Staging review Monday 11 January, one revision round on the built site, full test across devices, a walkthrough of how to add a project, then live Friday 15 January 2027.
On timing
Photography is the only thing on this page that can move the launch date. If it is not with us by 4 December, the design still gets finished before Christmas, and the launch moves a week for every week the photos do. A portfolio site launched without a portfolio helps nobody.
$9,000 AUD
Full investment, itemised below
Studio Loock is not registered for GST, so every figure here is a flat amount with nothing added on top. This is a fixed price. If the work takes longer than we have estimated, that is ours to absorb. The only thing that moves the number is something you ask for that is not described on this page, and we will tell you what it costs before we start it.
Optional, priced so there are no surprises
Not included
"We believe good work comes from rest, not burnout, so we've built boundaries into how we work, for your sake as much as ours."
Email keeps tasks, due dates and decisions in one place. If anything is urgent, you can always message on WhatsApp. Rockhampton to the Gold Coast is a video call, and that is how the reviews will run.
Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (AEST). Weekends are our time to switch off, so we don't work on client projects unless it's urgent or close to a deadline.
Kickoff, the interview, two design reviews and the staging review are included. Anything beyond that is billed hourly.
Two rounds on the brand, two rounds on the site design, one round on the built site. Additional revision sessions are billed at $120/hour.
Dezign Elements is engaging Studio Loock as an independent contractor for the brand refresh and website package described above.
Fees are due in accordance with the pricing above. Invoices are sent at the stages in the chosen payment plan and are due within 7 days of invoice.
Both parties work together to complete deliverables on time. Photography, project details, team content and access are needed by the dates in the process section. Studio Loock is not responsible for delays caused by content or access arriving late.
Studio Loock reserves the right to assign trusted subcontractors to this project to ensure the right fit and on-time completion.
Additional fees may apply if the client requests changes to the agreed scope and objectives. Extra hours outside scope are billed at $120/hour.
Hosting, domains, photography and any software subscriptions are contracted and paid for by the client in their own name, so the accounts and the work always belong to the client.
The client guarantees that any elements supplied are owned by, or licensed to, the client. Studio Loock may display the completed brand and website as an example of its work.
This proposal is the sole agreement between Studio Loock and the client. Additional work is authorised by written change order. Either party may terminate with two weeks' written notice, with the client liable for work completed to that point.
Three questions and we can start. Reply by email, or grab twenty minutes on a call with both of you, and the first invoice and the kickoff booking go out the same day.
Does the shape work: a refresh of the existing name and mark, six pages, and a projects system you can add to yourselves?
Which payment option suits you, 50/50 or three stages?
What finished-project photography do you already have, and can Monday 2 November be our kickoff?
Stefan and Nathan, you have already built the hard part: twelve years of work, a licence, a team, and clients and builders who put it in writing. This is the brand and the website finally saying what they already say about you. I would love to build it with you.
Warmest regards,
Inge Loock
